		<description>I think establishing social media standards is great because this collaborative initiative not only helps non-profits measure their engagement and influence in the most meaningful way, it adds credibility to experts in this field. Done the right way, it will not stifle creativity and innovation. See the W3C consortium (http://www.w3.org) for a great example of an effective way to promote standards.</description>
